Top 3 Rustic Wedding Venues in Porto

Porto and the Douro Valley are amazingly beautiful areas for destination weddings. Everything starts with the venue and if you have a rustic, boho, outdoorsy aesthetic, then this roundup is for you. Here are our top 3 rustic wedding venues in the Porto area and if you want to see more Porto venues, check out our other blogs on modern Porto venues and Central Porto venues.

quinta de segade - rustic porto wedding venue

Quinta de Segade

Quinta de Segade is a bohemian couple’s dream! It’s a very rustic barn property with plenty of outdoor space, flexible interiors, and a view to die for. It is located in the quaint town of Penafiel which is about 45minutes drive from central Porto or 1h train journey from São Bento station. Its stone wall exterior, lush green lawns, outdoor-indoor tent area, and glittering fairy lights are all highlights of this fabulous location. Our favourite feature is the view, which treats you and your guests to an awe-inspiring sunset over the trees. We stan!

Quinta da Eira

Very close to Quinta de Segade is Quinta da Eira, a more classic barn with a slightly more refined vibe to it. Here you get fabulous views out to Penafiel, a hidden forested area for a private ceremony, acres of vineyards and an old world barn, complete with wooden beams. The barn itself is fairly large but the pillars make it versatile for weddings of every size, from 40 guests to 200. An added bonus is the fact that you can sleep on-site! Here there are 3 apartments with kitchenettes and double beds, so you and your bridal party could stay after the night is over.

Quinta da Pousada

Quinta da Pousada is an adorable little B&B which is ideal for micro weddings in the Douro Valley. Surrounded by acres of vineyard, this place is one of a kind. Being a B&B also means you and some of your guests can stay on-site. For those who aren't staying there are plenty of hotel options in the area since the Douro Valley is so sought after as a tourist destination. Despite the popularity, however, it is incredibly tranquil here. Olivia has stayed here and can attest to their excellent hospitality, fresh food and stylish lodgings. For a mini wedding, you can't go wrong with a venue like Quinta da Pousada!
