Top 3 intimate wedding venues in Porto and the Douro Valley

To continue our wedding venue series as we celebrate the launch of Venues by Nulyweds!

Today we are back in the North and talking about our top 3 intimate wedding venues in Porto and the Douro Valley.

Quinta de Covela

This may seem obvious to you if you are a YouTube subscriber of ours, as I made a whole video about Quinta de Covela as my very favourite venue in all of Portugal! Of course the ivy and vineyards are hard to beat when it comes to natural beauty, but what I love most is how perfect this place is for tiny weddings. We all know I am #teamsmallweddings and this is the ideal spot for a maximum of 30 guests. As luxury wine producers, Quinta de Covela also can provide top tier wine for your celebrations too!

Quinta de Pousada

Quinta da Pousada is another Douro Valley resident and is a cute little space ideal for up to 50 guests, with a view across the vineyards, an adorable olive garden and stylish on-site accommodation. I have actually stayed here myself and can attest to the comfortable sleep and appetizing breakfast I had! This Quinta is ideal to hire out exclusively and create a little haven for you and your guests for a true micro wedding.

Casa dos Arcos

Okay okay, 80 guests is the larger side of intimate but here when I say intimate I mean the feeling rather than size. Casa dos Arcos makes large numbers intimate because of its uniquely homely space. It is very central in its location, as it is situated in the Boavista neighbourhood of Porto. This is a 10-15minute taxi ride away from central Porto and less than €5 cost to get there. The house itself is stunning with a warm, inviting feel to it. Though the grounds are small, it adds to the close knit feel of the environment and the colourful flowers make this wedding venue naturally pretty. Comprehensive menus and done for you packages is what you can expect here. This is ideal for those wanting to be close to central Porto but feel they are in another world entirely!
