4 FUN Wedding Planning Activities To Do When You're Bored
Are you feeling bored in lockdown right now?
Well I have just the thing for you! Your wedding plans may be on hold but there are still some fun things to do with your destination wedding planning so you can still progress. These four fun wedding planning activities are perfect boredom busters and they are also completely independent of where you are in the planning process! Whether you have postponed your wedding, or are still yet to set a date for your future destination wedding, these four items are perfect to get done at any time you choose.
Without further ado, let's get into these 4 fun wedding planning activities you can do when you're bored.
1. Creating Music Playlists Fun for music buffs
Although your DJ is there to help keep your party going and will provide mixes for you, it is important to give them some sort of guidance on the music you like. Sometimes, even more importantly, you should give your DJ guidance on music that you definitely don't like! So use your down time to create some playlists of music that gets you dancing and also a list of vetos for your DJ to avoid. Case in point, if someone plays Happy by Pharell at my wedding, someone is going to die!
2. Moodboarding Fun for visual creatives
Now is the perfect time to be Pinteresting and Instagram saving. If you have some old wedding magazines you could also make a physical wedding moodboard for whatever aspect you like of your wedding. Maybe you have already designed your wedding but want to collate some wedding photo inspiration for your wedding photographer. Or maybe you are right at the beginning still and would like to collate some inspiration you like for colours and styling. Researching and saving wedding inspiration is a great way to pass the time!
3. Writing Your Vows and/or Speeches Fun for keen writers
Anyone who loves to write down their thoughts or are frequent journallers will definitely enjoy scribbling down some ideas for speeches or vows. Again, this can be done at any time, and starting early does give you the benefit of editing throughout the coming months and weeks.
4. Planning a Surprise For Your Fiancé Fun for true organisers
Whether you want to go big like a Love-Actually-esque surprise performance in the middle of your day, or write a small note to your soon/to/be/spouse for the morning of your wedding, now is a great time to think of unique and special ways to surprise your fiancé. The best surprise is one that suits your partner's personality in every way. You can of course get ideas from the internet but I think this really needs to come from the heart.. Show them how much you know them and create a plan as to how you'll make it happen!
